**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Ward Clerk is the initial contact for the unit and ensures clear, concise communication and facilitates the flow of information with other facilities, the health care team, visitors, family members and patients. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Ward Clerk provides supportive service to patients, core nursing staff and physicians and works in cooperation with departments within the hospital setting as well as other Nursing units.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade 12
- Graduate of a post-secondary secretarial or office administration program or equivalent required
- Graduation from an approved Medical Terminology course required
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in an area with frequent interruptions
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Hours**:

- Long Assignment Part-time position; 35 hours biweekly
- Approximately 12 months

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly
