As an HSE Specialist in a Sheet Metal Fabrication, you will provide HSE expertise and leadership to continuously improve plant performance and the engagement of those working within that facility.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Participate in establishing a clear vision and collaborate with the management team to implement prevention programs and strategic plans that will contribute to a culture of excellence in HSE;
- Support and coach employees and managers in the management of occupational health and safety and environment;
- Participate, lead and/or coordinate HSE meetings and activities (operational meetings, HSE week, HSE committee, multi-facility HSE meetings);
- Manage inter-departmental projects aimed at reducing risks at the source in ergonomics, machine safety, environment. This also includes the management of risks in the working environment such as air quality, noise level, heat stress, etc.;
- Develop and identify activities or relevant training needs and support training programs;
- Maintain the health and safety (ISO45001) and environment (ISO14001) management system, including related activities;
- Be consistent with ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions, while caring for your colleagues and the company.
**Your background**:
- At least 2 years of experience in HSE;
- Have a participative approach, a curious mind and a great team spirit;
- Be a good communicator;
- Excellent knowledge of applicable HSE laws, regulations and standards;
- Good knowledge of manufacturing risks (ergonomics, machine safety, lockout taggout, industrial hygiene, etc.) and of environment (INRP, hazardous waste, transportation of hazardous goods);
- Good computer skills;
- French and English communication (written and spoken).
