**Position Summary**:
Each team member at BrightWater is responsible for assisting their department in striving to meet or exceed the standards of excellence that have been set. Housekeeping is vital for establishing the community’s reputation for quality as well as for promoting the safety, health, comfort, and well-being of our residents, visitors, and staff. BrightWater Senior Living maintains an emphasis on the highest standards in effective and efficient housekeeping methods.
The Housekeeping Supervisor responsibilities include organizing employee daily work assignments, training and motivating team members and auditing private and public areas for tidiness. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of sanitation protocols and team management abilities.

**Role Qualifications**:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Senior Living: 2 years (preferred)
- Have excellent leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate people.
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
- Knowledge & proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Meet provincial health related requirements.
- Maintain any certifications as required by provincial regulations.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Ensure and maintain cleanliness, service and product quality standards of resident suites, common areas, restrooms, and offices in accordance with BrightWater health, sanitation and safety standards.
- Lead, direct and administer daily housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, system use and management, inventory control, day to day department oversight, policy and procedure implementation/enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation.
- Monitor team member performance to include, but not limited to, auditing and guidance.
- Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for team members, and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with federal, state, local, provincial and BrightWater policies.
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting/polishing, sanitizing, and laundry
services.
- Protect equipment and report any deficiencies to the maintenance department.
- Adhere to all community policies and procedures.
- Adhere to dress/appearance code. (Changes in attire may be permitted for special circumstances as directed by your Manager).
- Perform all assigned work for the agreed-upon wage, accepting no additional payment/gifts from residents/vendors/others.
- Promote resident advocacy and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Serve as a role model for other employees by displaying a responsible, cooperative, respectful, and positive attitude.
- Represent the community in the community at large in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
- Demonstrate ability to perform duties under time constraints and deadlines.
- Attend education and training classes as required by provincial regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
