With around 40 employees across two locations, this well-established team has been providing expert procurement, management, and movement of critical resources for over 45 years. Working closely with Fire Centres, Zones, and Incident Management Teams, they play a vital role in wildfire response—operating behind the scenes with dedication and resilience to support frontline crews and protect communities across BC. **The Role** As an Equipment Depot Warehouse Person, you’ll be working in a large, fast-paced facility that houses essential wildfire response equipment. You will be participating in many aspects of warehousing such as shipping and receiving inventory, picking orders, refurbishing equipment, verifying counts of procured equipment and supplies, and other associated duties all with the goal of supporting BCWS Fireline operations and ensuring our wildfire crews have the critical gear and supplies they need to stay safe and effective on the Fireline. This role offers opportunities to build valuable skills, advance within BC Wildfire Service, and take pride in directly supporting wildfire protection across the province. **Qualifications**: **Education and Experience Requirements**- Grade 12 plus 2 years administrative experience - Class 5 driver licence- **Preference may be given to applicants with**: - Forklift certificate - Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification - Previous experience working with computerized asset management systems - Previous experience working in a large warehouse operation- **Provisos /Willingness statement(s)**- To be flexible regarding ongoing changes in responsibilities, assignments and corporate structures. - To keep current on emerging issues. - To take in-house training and certification as required. - To fly in aircraft (fixed wing and rotary) as required. - To work extended hours, including weekends, and be on standby with limited notice in accordance with the preparedness plan. - To travel and overnight in remote locations where accommodations may vary as required. - To be assigned or participate to Incident Command System positions and Incident Management Teams as required. - To work under adverse or stressful conditions, including smoke, extreme heat and mountainous terrain in remote and isolated conditions.- **About this Position**: 3 positions are available. This position has full time on-site requirements. These temporary (auxiliary) opportunities start in approximately March 2026 and are 9 month terms ending in approximately November 2026, with possibility of recall on a yearly basis. These positions may be extended. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary vacancies. A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
