**Consultant - Trade Finance Operations (Contract)**

**Location**: Montreal, QC
**Contract Type**: 1-Year Consultant Contract (Potential for Renewal or Internalization)
**Start Date**: ASAP

**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and issue accurate client invoices.
- Maintain records of invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
- Reconcile billing data and resolve discrepancies.
- Process payments via WASH/NOSTRO and ensure correct account postings.
- Prepare fund transfer memos and coordinate FX contracts when needed.
- Monitor outstanding fees and follow up on unpaid items.
- Report complex transactions to management for review and approval.

**Required Qualifications**
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: 3-5 years in commercial and standby letters of credit.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in SWIFT messaging.
- Experience with syndicated loans and/or syndicated letters of credit (asset).
- Familiarity with LC billing processes (preferred).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- **Languages**:

- English (required)
- French (an asset)

**Work Conditions**
- **Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm (40 hours/week including 1-hour lunch).
- **Remote Work**: Up to 2 days/week after 3 months (manager’s discretion).

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $21.14-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
