Auto Parts Counterperson

It is the job of the **inside sales representative**, traditional 'counter person' to do their part in completing the sales cycle of;
- Outside sales person is the face to face contact for customer support and continuity
- Inside sales person receives the parts order in a professional courteous manner and ensures the customer's order is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Warehouse staff ensures order is picked correctly and dispatches driver
- Delivery driver ensures accuracy of order and delivers it in a prompt and courteous manner
- Office staff ensures customers questions are answered, payment is received, and customer statements are sent.

In order to complete your part of the order cycle, you will be responsible to/for;
- Gain a comprehensive knowledge of Brewers' computerized sales system including;
- Login procedures
- Complete familiarity with invoicing and inventory sections
- Telephone interface
- Proper internet ordering from all suppliers
- Maintain appropriate telephone notes and catalogues and such other written information from/of vendors to assist yourself in performing your duties.
- Know delivery methods and intercompany shuttle hours and routes
- Do everything possible to ensure accuracy of sale; including checking physical inventory in the warehouse to answer any questions
- Search all available sources to find the part(s) required
- **You will not tell a customer 'We do not have that part' or 'We cannot acquire that part' until you have checked with a co-worker**:

- You will check our other locations for part availability.
- Never become argumentative with a customer.
- If the phones are slow, you may be requested to help with other aspects of the business including but not limited to helping in the warehouse with picking parts, putting away inventory or doing stock counts
- Regardless of which inside sales representative sent a customer the wrong part, do not throw your fellow employee under the bus, just assist the customer with getting the correct part as soon as possible.
- Ensure the store manager and customer's Outside Sales representative is informed about any problem.

**Skills and Specifications**
- Experience in insides sales and customer service
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Detail oriented and organized
- Effective time management skills
- Highly self-motivated with a desire to be successful
- Work independently
- Skillful with multi-tasking, computer navigation, and typing
- Enter data with a high degree of accuracy and consistency into computer system

**Physical Requirements**
- Able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs (product in warehouse)
- Able to ascend and descend stairs
- Able to walk, stand, balance, twist, bend, stoop, push, and reach
- Able to sit for long periods

**Safety-Sensitive Position**

This position is a **safety-sensitive position**. The employee must be free from impairment while at work and be fit for duty, as high alertness level is absolutely required.

**Experience**:

- Auto parts sales, customer service, repair: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)
