Location: Nestleton, Ontario

**Job Description**:
Job Responsibilities:

- Cleaning stalls, bedding pens
- Mixing feed and feeding cows
- Maintaining milking robots
- Feeding and caring for calves
- Monitoring animal health
- Health treatments as necessary
- Some “On Call” time if machinery breaks down and immediate attention is required

There are also job hours available for repair/maintenance of all farm equipment and operation of farm equipment. In summer these hours can be significant.

Job Requirements:

- Previous experience working on a dairy farm or in a similar agricultural setting is preferred but not required. Very willing to train the right individual.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Familiarity with dairy farming practices, equipment, and livestock management is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of animal care and welfare, particularly with dairy cattle.
- Good listening and communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and collaborate with other farm workers.
- Strong attention to detail for tasks such as milking, monitoring cow health, and maintaining cleanliness in the barn.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as dairy farming operates on a 24/7 schedule.
- Continuing education opportunities will be made available

Increased pay can be given to an individual with experience working with dairy cows. Pay rate will be determined by level of experience, work ethic and commitment to our farm.
