**_POSITION: Dietary Aide _**
- West Perth Village (Ritz Lutheran Villa)_

**_: _**_This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of the meal, meal services, clean up after meal and ensuring a sanitary environment of eating and preparation areas. Also included in the delivery of resident nourishments. This position may assist residents in eating and drinking if required._
- Duties and Responsibilities Include:_
- _Review any dietary change notices_
- _Assist cooks as required in food preparation._
- _Prepare beverages and condiments for meal service._
- _Serve food at mealtime and dispense nourishments room to room._
- _Assist residents as required._
- _Clean up dining rooms following meals._
- _General clean-up of dishes, pots and pans, and equipment._
- _General clean-up of eating areas, and preparation for next meal cycle._
- _Major cleaning duties include ovens, walls, fryer, walk-ins, store rooms, etc. as required._
- _Appropriate and timely storage of food._
- _Requisition of food, supplies and equipment maintenance._
- _Maintain continuous education requirements._
- _Assist in the orientation of new staff as required._
- _Communicate to appropriate staff regarding residents care, needs, etc._
- _In the performance of all duties, demonstrate respect for the privacy, dignity, and individuality of the resident; adhere to home policy on confidentiality._
- _Perform all duties and demonstrate conduct in accordance with the policies and procedures of Ritz Lutheran Villa._
- _Other duties as assigned_
**_ REPORTS TO:_**_ _Director of Nutrition Services_
**_ DATE REQUIRED: _**_August 21, 2024_
**_ SALARY:_**_ $20.95 to $22.36 per hour_
**_ QUALIFICATIONS:_**
**_ Education: _**
- _Food Service Worker Diploma/Certificate or Training program at a recognized post-secondary institution as established by the Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002 or a registered private career college in Ontario_
- _Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent._
- _Food Handler Training Program which has been completed by a Board of Public Health within the past five (5) years._

- _Strong communication skills both verbal and written._
- _Able to meet the working conditions for this position._
