Bear Paw Earthworks is a family owned and operated excavation and civil construction company. We have been serving the Okanagan and Shuswap regions since 1979.
**We are looking for a reliable Equipment Operator to join our team.**
Equipment Operator Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting pre-operation checks on equipment.
- Performing other construction duties as required
- Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.
- Attending morning safety meetings
- Identifying faults and troubleshooting equipment as required.
- Represent Bear Paw Earthworks in professional manner
Equipment Operator Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience operating heavy equipment.
- Residential site prep experience required
- Previous experience working around existing underground utilities
- Valid class 5 and reliable transportation required
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow orders and work to strict deadlines.
- An understanding of health and safety codes.
- A positive outlook and a willingness to learn.
- Must live in the Northern Okanagan.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal
**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
