WSP is currently seeking an **Intermediate Environmental Scientist **to join our Atlantic Environmental Assessment and Permitting team in **Dartmouth, Nova Scotia **. Primary responsibilities will be to provide support on a wide variety of projects as delegated by senior staff within the group.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of:

- Environmental assessments
- Familiarity, or knowledge of: wetland assessments, terrestrial biological studies, and/or estuary/marine biological studies
- Preparation of proposals and technical reports

Key requirements include:

- University Degree in Biology or Environmental Science, however applicants with technical diplomas may be considered
- 2-5 years’ experience
- Solid technical and/or academic background in biological sciences
- Experience with some or all of the following:

- environmental resources surveys and analysis including aquatic and marine sciences: (fish community, benthic invertebrate and sediment sampling, water quality sampling, area-velocity discharge measurements and fish habitat mapping), and/or
- Terrestrial sciences: wetland delineations, botany, fauna surveys
- Strong computer, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to
- work in Canada with a valid Canadian driver’s license
- work effectively as a member of a team, and also independently with mínimal supervision and direction
- demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills
- demonstrate an existing strong commitment to personal/professional development and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
