Job Duties:

- Blueprint Interpretation - Analyze and understand specifications from blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
- Layout Preparation
- Develop layouts that adhere to building codes, utilizing precise measuring tools.
- Material Handling - Measure, cut, shape, and assemble various materials like wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and others.
- Construction Task - Carry out tasks such as building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.
- Trim Installation
- Skillfully fit and install trim items, including doors, stairs, molding, and hardware.
- Maintenance and Renovation
- Undertake maintenance, repair, and renovation activities for residences and wooden structures in diverse settings
- Supervision
- Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices and other construction workers.
- Other - May need to engage in the preparation of cost estimates for clients.

Skills requirement: Completion of secondary school is encouraged. Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience in the trade
