Cook (Part-time)

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook food according to Mary Brown’s recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper food handling and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times
- Manage cooking stations, ensuring all food is cooked to order and served promptly
- Perform routine kitchen tasks, including chopping, slicing, and frying food items
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including washing dishes and utensils
- Adhere to safety and sanitation standards, including cleaning work surfaces and equipment
**Requirements**:
- Must have a **valid Food Handlers Certification** (or be willing to obtain one)
- Must be **available to work Monday and Friday all day** (shifts may vary)
- Ability to work until **12:00 AM** (midnight)
- Must be able to **stand for 10-12 hours** and perform physical tasks related to cooking and kitchen duties
- Previous cooking experience is an asset but not required
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 24 per week

- 10 hour shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
**Language**:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (required)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
