Lead Hand Carpenter

Summary:
The Lead Hand / Supervisor should have the ability to take 1 or 2 general labourers to a construction site, be given directions and able to complete construction tasks with mínimal supervision. The LH/S should be able to manage the tasks while leading and delegating according to the team's strengths and weaknesses. The LH/S would report to the Superintendent for process, technical and troubleshooting questions. The ability to estimate materials and equipment required for the tasks.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Minimum 5 years construction experience (concrete, framing, aluminum flatstock, siding etc.)
- Write and speak in English
- Valid driver’s licence and own transportation
- Experience with trailers
- Leadership skills
- Punctual and responsible
- Willing to learn and grow into the next role

**Not Required But Considered An Asset**:

- Write and speak in French
- Ability to read & understand construction drawings
- Familiar with the Ontario Building Code
- Valid Canadian Passport
- WHMIS, First Aid, Working at Heights, Elevated Platforms certified

Pay: $25.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
