The Product and Partner Management (PPM) Insights Analyst role is responsible for providing meaningful insights and analytical support to the PPM team. They are focused on building and sharing market and data expertise, using a variety of sources and practices that ensure consistency and accuracy of strategy development. The PPM Insights Analyst works closely with PPM Management to understand data needs, and then works with others on the development of reporting to support decision making.

**What you'll do**:

- Research and analyze internal and external data and generate meaningful stories and insights from data to support strategic decision making.
- Creates data visuals and prepares written briefings to help stakeholders better understand segments and verticals
- Champions internal data needs and communications: addressable market, regional data comparisons, sales data, forecasting, among others
- Create reports and dashboards using thoughtful practices and data methodologies to directly impact the success of PPM
- Engages with others on building reports (definitions, maintenance, error correction, evolutions)
- Builds expertise and cadence with other CDW regional analytics teams for best practices
- Initiates and drives projects related to the betterment of PPM business analysis practices and category expertise
- Work closely with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure internal data needs are aligned and external stakeholders
- Coordinate and guide stakeholders through a process of creating reports and data models that successfully address business issues. Provide ongoing support for these reports
- Produce sound analysis in support of Product and Partner Management decision makers to drive tactical and strategic departmental objectives
- Assess existing reports, data sources, business processes and initiatives. Identify improvement opportunities and strategies to evolve the current capabilities. Facilitate effective communication with vendors including compliance audits
- Maintain standard monthly reports and metrics used to measure Partner Controllable Margin (PCM), Partner Designation, and improve overall department efficiency

**What you need to succeed**

**Must-have**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business or an IT related field with minimum 2-3 years of work experience in an analytical position
- Intermediate user of Excel and SQL query writing
- Experience with data visualization platforms, most preferred Power BI
- Experience writing and proofreading executive briefings
- Background in research aggregation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across company and department boundaries at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction and make sound business decisions
- History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to quickly adapt to the changing needs of the business and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate information, identify risks and opportunities, while possessing creative problem-solving skills with an understanding of business concepts and models

**Nice-to-have**:

- Working knowledge of database query language(s)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate and lead meetings, tailoring messages to the given audience.
- Proven ability to elicit project and system requirements
- 2-3 years' experience working in the IT channel
