With five mines, a mill, a smelter, a refinery, and nearly 4,000 employees it is also one of the largest integrated mining complexes in the world. Sudbury is also home to several administrative sites serving both the Ontario Operations as well as all our North Atlantic Operations. Creighton Mine is an underground nickel, copper, and PGE mine located in Lively, Ontario, and is home to over 400 full-time employees, as well as the world-class science facility SNOLAB. Producing at depths of over 8400 feet, we are one of the deepest nickel mines in the world. **The Opportunity**: We are currently seeking an **Operations Scheduler** to join our** Integrated Operations Scheduling (IOS) team **at** Creighton mine **in** Sudbury, Ontario. **This is a **permanent** position. As an **Operations Scheduler,** you will be accountable for the continuous improvement of the Integrated Operations Scheduling team's performance, through the effective use of established processes and procedures. You will also be accountable for the scheduling of all planned work for the Creighton Mine operations. Additionally, in this position you will: - Work in a rotation schedule (5/4 schedule, day shift). - Be a key member of the Integrated Operations Scheduling team to develop the mine (0-12 weeks) schedule for all operations (including production, fill, and shotcrete) utilizing resources. - Liaison with the daily shift scheduler on the mine schedule and priorities and work with the operations planner closely to schedule required work. - Coordinate and facilitate all required planning/scheduling routines. Contribute to and provide priority work by coordinating and scheduling all interactions based on priorities across departments (operations, maintenance, logistics, etc.). - Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful execution of the "work schedule". - Monitor KPIs and actively strive toward plant targets.
