We are growing our team Maritime Pride Eggs is currently seeking a Transportation Manager.
Maritime Pride Eggs Inc. is the largest supplier of eggs in Atlantic Canada.
We pick up, grade, package, and distribute eggs to all major chain stores in the Maritimes.
**Duties**:
- Develop and implement transportation strategies and plans to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the transportation department, including managing a team of drivers and coordinators
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards
- Manage the fleet of vehicles, including maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
- Provide leadership, guidance, encouragement, and training to transportation staff
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management or a related field
- Experience in supervising a team of drivers (10-15 drivers)
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience and Knowledge with Electronic Logging Device
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Time Management - ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Familiar with Maritime geography - route planning
- Class 1 License - Preferred
- Clean Drivers Abstract
