**Description**

Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to: pulling cables, terminating cables, installing security systems, mounting displays and projectors.

**Essential duties and responsibilities**
- Perform and participate in installation tasks for audio visual and security projects including but not limited to pulling and terminating cables, installing and mounting audio visual, security systems, automation and surveillance equipment within residential and commercial projects.
- Read, understand and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
- Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks
- Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring
- Projector and screen support structure installations
- Test point to point functionality of systems
- Communicate daily job site and report status to the Project Manager
- Review equipment list with customer upon delivery
- Travel to various job sites required
- Other duties assigned as needed

**Required skills and abilities**
- Tendency to learn, grow and improve.
- A team player and able to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work and think independently.
- Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner (must have their own basic tools).
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio video and control
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but formal education in Electronics or related field is considered a plus.

**Preferred External Training**:

- Safety trainings.
- Experience and knowledge of residential security systems is considered a plus.
- Experience and knowledge of Audio-Visual systems is considered a plus.
- Must have their own vehicle and travel to various job sites within working hours.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver's Abstract that meets company's Driving standards.
