**Job title**:
Driver and Receiver

**Reports to**:
Operations Manager

The Driver and Receiver is responsible for driving our refrigerated truck and picking up food and other items around the community. They will also receive and sort items for our food bank operations. Sorting and onboarding food into our dry good inventory or fridges and freezers. Assisting the Operations Manager and volunteers with their daily tasks.

**Driver and Receiver Duties and responsibilities**
- Driving our refrigerated truck
- Picking up food and other items at community partners and suppliers
- Unload product from delivery trucks manually and using our forklift
- Sorting food
- Onboarding food into inventory
- Organizing food in our freezer and fridge
- Managing waste and dropping garbage off at the waste management facilities
- Cleaning and tidying the warehouse
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years working as a driver, in a warehouse or operations environment
- Experience working with people living in poverty or struggling with addictions and mental illness.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Valid G License with a clean drivers abstract
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Lift Truck Certification Preferred
- You must have a clean Criminal Reference Check

**Job Details**

**Hours of work**:Monday to Friday from 11:30am -to
- 4:30pm. 25-hour work week. Note that you may be asked to work longer hours on the demands of our programs and services. The holiday season is a busy time for The Sharing Place and longer hours may be required during this time.

**Wage**:$22.75/hr.

**NOTE**:This is a temporary contracted position with a term as follows:
**Term**: October 21, 2024 to December 20, 2024
