**Job Description**:
The Imperial Oil Damage Prevention team is seeking a skilled Damage Prevention / Pipeline Technician to join our Edmonton area team. The Damage Prevention / Pipeline Technician will be responsible for the completion of proactive pipeline damage prevention activities as well as a variety of operations and maintenance tasks on the pipeline.

This individual must be a self-starter, capable of working with mínimal supervision, who possesses excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and communication skills. A strong safety attitude is essential as this job requires you to assess and mitigate risk, lower risk tolerance, and intervene on any unsafe behaviors observed.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Triage and respond to Alberta One Call requests
- Locate pipelines and associated facilities for Alta One Call and any other related request.
- Represent Imperial Oil's interests and work with contractors/ stakeholders at 3rd Party crossings jobsites to ensure that acceptable crossing practices, ground disturbance regulations and IOL Controlled Area Access Agreement Terms/Conditions are always followed. Participating in survey and crossing meetings with Contractors, project team members and other parties
- Patrol all Pipeline Systems on daily basis and complete daily ROW inspection reports. Proactively identify ground disturbance areas of concern
- Perform routine maintenance activities including housekeeping, signage, brushing, snow removal or environmental issues such as drainage problems at Imperial Oil facilities and assist other technicians as required.
- With mínimal direction, utilize and maintain prints, operate and maintain test equipment
- Respond to Aircraft Reports and calls from Pilot.
- Respond to any Emergency situation - spills, leaks, and contractor violations and be familiar with IOL Emergency Response Manual.

**We’d love to hear from you if you have**:

- Valid driver’s license with clean 3-year drivers abstract required
- Line Locating Certification, Ground Disturbance Certification, First Aid, Confined Space Entry Tickets and formal H2S Training course once in working career.
- 5 Years industrial and/or pipeline construction experience with a minimum of 2 years of supervision or inspection in a damage prevention role
- Ability to travel, as occasional travel will be required.
- Experience with Alb
- Availability to work one Saturday per month
