**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Refrigeration System Operation:

- Ensures compliance with TSSA and all other governing bodies regulations and guidelines
- Responsible for the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of the plant and ammonia refrigeration, and other refrigeration systems as well as Boilers and Air Compressors system, including maintaining log books in compliance with TSSA standards.
- Ensures Boilers, Ammonia Refrigeration systems start-up, are monitored and checked, with written recordings logged as per internal and statutory requirements
- Documents readings (temperatures, pressures, ammonia compressor statistics) multiple times, daily. Maintains clear communication with supervisor to report abnormalities.
- Monitors and records, pressure and temperature with specific cold chain parameters
- Checks and tests for leaks, sets and adjusts controls and regulators and checks operating adjustments as required
- Performs routine equipment maintenance and inspections, on but not limited to boiler systems, refrigeration, HVAC, fuel, water treatment, compressed air systems, auxiliaries and distribution systems, production equipment, housekeeping throughout plant
- Performs routine equipment and preventative maintenance: Clean / lubricate boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, production equipment, general building maintenance, etc.
- Operate and monitor refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration system issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of system performance and maintenance activities.
- General Maintenance:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant equipment and machinery.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and replacement of equipment as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any facility-related issues.
- Safety and Compliance:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Participate in safety training and drills.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Prepare reports on equipment status and maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class B Refrigeration Operator license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in refrigeration system operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and equipment is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work the afternoon shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM).

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions.
