English Second Language Teacher

**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Educate students in English language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills.
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Maintain organized records of student attendance, performance, and assessments.
- Collaborate with other educators to support students with special education needs or language barriers.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with ESL teaching methodologies.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field; ESL certification or TESOL is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a classroom setting.
- Experience in classroom management and creating lesson plans tailored for ESL learners.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual abilities are a plus (Mandarin and English).
- Familiarity with special education practices is advantageous.
- A passion for teaching and helping students succeed in their language acquisition journey.
