**Position: General Manager - HPG**:
**Reports To**:President - Canadian Operations
**Direct Reports**: (3 Direct Reports)**; Engineering Manager, Operation Manager, Quality Manager.
**Summary**
Directs and coordinates activities of the organization in accordance with identified company goals and objectives to obtain optimum efficiency, economy of operations, and maximize profits by performing the following duties directly or through subordinate supervisors. The General Manager will lead, manage, and streamline the manufacturing activities of the organization, and will drive the implementation of the latest techniques and technology that best fit the organization to achieve the define goals and objectives.
**Job Duties**
- Plan, develops and implements organization policies and goals.
- Ensure that the organization operates at or above productivity and profitability targets.
- Establish annual strategic plan and operating budget for the business unit.
- Ensure operating budgets are cost effective and accurate.
- Interfaces with CFO to review objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions Maintain and improve cost controls and budget oversight processes to ensure that profit/EBITDA and cash flow goals are achieved.
- Maintain a sense of urgency and accountability across all functions of the organization.
- Leverage core competencies to continuously grow the company's revenues and profitability.
- Ensure that suggested changes are beneficial, accurate, and timely.
- Ensure that analysis and plans are thorough, accurate, clear, and beneficial.
- Provide leadership in operations, planning and translate these plans into action Maintains a commitment to the company vision, mission and strategy.
- Actively support an promote the implementation of the “The Precinmac Way”
- Communicates clearly and directly with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability.
- Develops employees for future advancement to support company growth and effectiveness.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
**Requirements**:
- 4 year technical or business administration degree or equivalent (advanced degree preferred)
- MBA, HBA or similar degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in management role in the manufacturing industry
- Advanced knowledge of conventional machining processes and operations required.
- 15 years progressively responsible experience with at least 10 years in management.
- Proven track record of success in maintaining the profitability of manufacturing operations.
- Excellent management, negotiating and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and achieve results.
- Experience in budgeting, project management, supervision of operations working in collaboration with human resources and finance department.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Able to prioritize and focus associates on appropriate tasks.
- Proficient with ERP and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret financial documents and financial models.
- Works well under pressure and maintain deadlines.
- Works effectively in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment, and is able to direct and work in harmony with a diverse group of highly motivated and capable individuals.
