**Position Overview**

- The Engineering, Parks and Environment department requires a Research Assistant for approximately three months commencing June 1, 2025 until August 30, 2025.

**Responsibilities**
- We are looking for support and assistance for the City Transportation team in the implementation of the recently approved and transformational curbside access and parking project. You will be instrumental in supporting the community in preparing for and understanding the changes to curbside regulations and parking policy. You will also support the Project Manager in a variety of deployment related tasks to help meet a fall implementation timeframe. You will also research and prepare notes on internal and external matters for meetings and create presentations. This is a great opportunity to gain work experience in local government and work with an exceptional team

**Requirements**:
We are looking for a student who has completed post-secondary courses in a related discipline and possess strong research and writing skills. Experience working in local government or a similar environment would be an asset. The demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate a variety of tasks and assignments is also required. Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) is required; knowledge and experience with an electronic Records Management System would be an asset.

**Compensation**
- $27.48 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits
- (January 2024 rates)

**Hours of Work**
- 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Monday to Friday
