Patient Transport is seeking full time essential employees for the role of Wheelchair Vehicle Attendant. This is a permanent role in the growing field of healthcare The Wheelchair Vehicle Attendant is a role for an independent person. We are looking for friendly and outgoing individuals who are comfortable working alone and driving long distances solo. Extensive highway driving is involved This role involves picking up and dropping off patients at Medical Facilities across the province, while ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for all

This role is not limited to transporting patients in wheelchairs. This role also comprises transferring of medical staff, patients, and medical escorts, all in a safe and comfortable manner. The successful applicant will provide a responsive level of care to any individual they transfer. Including but not limited to providing arm in arm care, helping patients up stairs, enter and exit building and other aid as required.

The schedule for this role is variable. Patient Transport works around the clock 24/7. Schedules will vary and will be posted every two weeks.

Here at Patient Transport, we transfer patients between medical facilities, help them attend appointments, and navigate their medical itinerary. Our crews receive paid training and are equipped to provide transfer services for clients. We facilitate reliable inter-facility hospital transfers as well as assisting people from their home residence or personal care home to their appointments. Patient Transport Services is Manitoba’s premier patient transport company As the only accredited Stretcher Service in North America, we set the standard when it comes to non-urgent patient care. We believe in safety, respect and integrity, these values guide all that we do. Every patient is unique, and we devote ourselves to continuous improvement and innovation in our work.

Patient Transport Services offers:

- Full Uniform Set (minus belt, black t-shirt and boots).
