Blue Barn Pet & Hobby Farm is a locally-owned pet food and supply store. We pride ourselves in offering excellent customer service, a wide array of pet products, and strong community involvement. We are now hiring an Assistant Manager. Applicants must have pet knowledge, a minimum of three year’s experience in a management or supervisory position, and must be a natural leader.

Assistant Store Managers are responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of a retail store and duties include but are not limited to:

- Hiring, training and supervising staff
- Maintaining and monitoring high standards of customer service
- Assisting the store manager with day-to-day operations
- Managing inventory
- Opening and closing
- Merchandising and display of products, and coordinating promotions

Applicants must:

- Have prior management/supervisory experience
- Have prior customer service and cashier experience
- Be able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced workplace
- Work well with others in a team environment
- Be energetic, optimistic and confident
- Be able to work flexible shifts
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
