**Quality Control Technician - Night Shift (3:00 pm to 11:30 pm)**

**Reports To**: QA Manager

**Location**: Langley, BC

The Quality Control position is a key food quality and safety function within Huer Foods Inc. This role is most suitable for a detail-oriented, well-organized, and highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment knowing that others will rely on and depend on the execution of their work.

**Responsibilities & Key Tasks**:

- Train production staff on quality control procedures, GMP topics, and food-related issues.
- Ensures the product and its packaging meets food quality and safety standards.
- Execute continuous inspections on the production lines.
- Takes responsibility for making sure the workers follow the guidelines related to SQF, GMP, and HACCP. Ensures process guidelines are followed effectively and safely.
- Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials, supplies, and packing materials.
- Establish and maintain the company’s food safety culture.
- Participate and help in conducting Internal and External Food Safety audits, when needed.
- Monitor and conduct all the quality checks and ensure the information in the Product Profile Sheets matches the final package.
- Collaborate with the supervisors, to resolve food quality issues in a timely manner.
- Pre-operational equipment inspections to ensure the effectiveness of sanitation.
- Maintain and review QA/QC/Production documents.
- Participate and help the night shift supervisor/ production manager with food safety and quality issues.
- Maintain and open Corrective actions for food safety and quality issues.
- Perform tasks assigned by the QA manager as required.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Food Science, Chemistry).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- HAACP, SQF certified preferred.
- Self-starter can work independently with mínimal direction.
- Enthusiastic and approachable personality.
- Strong collaboration skills within a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organization skills.

**Salary**: From $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
