**What You’ll Do**
- Collaborate with clients to design and develop their data governance program and drive data accessibility and usability through leading practices and technologies
- Identify and understand client data governance objectives, processes, and tools/products in order to assess issues, make recommendations, and lead solution implementation efforts
- Create business cases and perform feasibility studies, process design reviews, conduct current state analysis/assessments, develop future state roadmaps, and draft detailed designs for recommended solutions
- Lead/Support the rollout and/or optimization of a data catalog
- Design data governance solutions within a data catalog (define policies/rules, communities, domain structures, stewardship model, workflows, lineage, dashboards)
- Assist teams prepare and present Slalom data governance capabilities and services to perspective/current clients

**What You’ll Bring**
- 6+ years of relevant data governance consulting or industry experience in the following areas: data governance, data management, integration, master data management, architecture, database design and implementation, data quality, data stewardship
- Direct experience enhancing, developing, and/or implementing data catalogs (e.g., Purview, Alation, Informatica, Collibra)
- Experience with managing and mitigating data quality issues (e.g., profile, standardize, cleanse, and enrich)
- Experience with establishing and maintaining data governance operating processes and rhythms, and in developing data steward roles and responsibilities
- Experience with diagnosing data related issues, performing root cause analysis, implementing recommended solutions, and professionally articulating (oral and written) observations to clients
- Familiarity with data governance operating models, leading practices, and legal/regulatory data requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPPA, Privacy Act, PIPEDA, Bill 64)
