Camrose, Canada Brock Rock Aggregate Supply & Trucking Full time

Brock Rock is looking for qualified person to provide efficiency to mechanic shop and ensure equipment is being repaired in a timely manner.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Communicate any unsafe conditions or incidents and near misses to the Safety Coordinator in a timely manner.
- Lead Toolbox meetings.
- Complete shop inspections at required frequency.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are safe to use and being operated in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
- Ensure maintenance team have correct PPE and the right tools for the job.
- Supervision of shop personnel and assign Technicians to the appropriate job duties.
- Monitor work orders for accuracy, efficiency, and completion.
- Repair and maintain equipment, and other duties as required.
- Help troubleshoot problems with all types of trucks.
- Enforcing all policies and procedures to ensure work is completed safely.
- Booking in and scheduling of all equipment for services and CVIP's
- Organizing and reviewing all out of shop work being done both in town and out of town.
- Hands-on mechanical work may be required.
- Have the ability to work extra hours as needed.
- Plan and prioritize units to be serviced in the shop with lot attendant.
- Ensure technicians are adhering to policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized service shop.
- Must be able to problem solve in a timely manner and find solutions for cost effective repairs.

**Housekeeping**
- Keep the shop clean.
- Task housekeeping work to apprentices and labourers.
- Keep tools clean and stored when not in use.
- Manage waste generated in the shop and maintain a clean yard.
- Ensure parts are where they should be.
- Assist Coordinator with parts and inventory management.

**Physical Requirements**

This position requires standing for extended periods, in addition to walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling with occasional sitting. Must be capable of heavy lifting and moving parts up to 75 lbs on a consistent basis.

This job will require some overtime hours. Most work is completed in our facility however there are times where you will be required to travel to complete roadside repairs in all weather conditions.

**Requirements**:

- Journeyman certificate is an asset but not required.
- Leadership, teaching, and time management skills.
- have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates awareness of health and safety protocols.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
