MedCare Clinics is a new multi-specialty medical clinic located in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Our clinic's mission is to provide exceptional medical care to the surrounding communities. Our services include providing care in a family practice setting as well as walk-ins that are always welcome. Our team also includes speciality physicians that practice Internal Medicine; Our clinic has an on-site blood lab and INR clinic as well as vaccinations and seasonal flu clinics all provided by our Registered Nurse & Phlebotomist. MedCare Clinics is looking to grow our team with the addition of a clinical assistant. The clinical assistant will work under the supervision of our qualified family physician.

**Job Type / Category**

A brief list of the Clinical Assistant’s duties will include the following:

- Complete patient medical history & physical examination
- Complete virtual (telephone) consult as needed
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays, ultrasounds, etc.)
- Provide treatment plans and diagnosis
- Educate and counsel patients
- Prescribe medications
- Collaborate with the physician to ensure the quality of patient care

We are offering a competitive salary and flexible hours. Shifts will include some weekend coverage. 40 hours/week. 8-10 hours per day shifts - schedule varies based on your availability. Location will be in Brampton, ON.

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
-**:

- Completion and Pass of QE1 and NAC OSCE Or US / UK exams**
**Exams are mandatory**_
- Completion of a Clinical Assistant program
- International Medical Graduate with extensive Clinical Assistant or independent practice experience
- EMR experience
- Standard of card according to the Canadian healthcare system

**Experience**:

- Accuro EMR: 1 year (preferred)
- Physician Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Canadian Medicine: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Clinical/Physician Assistant Certificate (preferred)
- QE1 & NAC OSCE (preferred)
- US or UK Medical Exams (preferred)
