Interpersonal Violence

We are seeking a part time permanent _**IVA Counsellor**_
- **Location**:_Estevan_
- **Start date**:_As soon as possible depending on successful applicant.
- **DUTIES to include**:_
- Counselling for individuals, couples and families in crisis
- Provide counselling related to interpersonal violence & abuse, sexual assault and childhood abuse
- Develop/promote/facilitate Envision’s programming including groups, training, workshops, presentations and public events
- Advocate, support and effectively collaborate with community agencies for clients’ personal, physical and emotional health
- Travel is required for meeting or client transports as needed

- Bachelor Degree or diploma related to social service work is preferred. Relevant experience and knowledge would be considered essential
- Knowledge and experience in various counselling areas including: interpersonal violence and abuse, suicide & crisis intervention and group facilitation
- Knowledge of counselling theories, understanding of client-centered and strength-based services
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy level to respond to the requirements of the position
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Reliability and flexibility to meet the demands of the position
- Effective decision-making skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
