We manufacture our product in **Fort Macleod, Alberta**, approximately **25 minutes West of Lethbridge**, in an enclosed plant that is open all year. We are currently looking to hire the following position in our Forma Steel facility.

**Role**: Pallet Builder

**Job Type**: Full-time Permanent

**Work Schedule**: Monday to Friday

The Pallet Builder is responsible for constructing wooden pallets in accordance with company specifications, utilizing a variety of hand and power tools to ensure consistent quality and durability.

- safely utilize hand tools such as hammers and tape measures to complete pallet building.
- Ability to safely operate a saw and pneumatic nail gun.
- Ensure timeliness and consistency, meeting quality and production standards.
- Always acts with the safety of themselves and others as a top priority.
- Verifying dimensions of precut parts and accuracy of assembly, using a tape measure.

- Identify and report equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Lead Hand.
- Perform regular quality checks on work, materials, and equipment conditions.
- Approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset.
- Stay proactive and resourceful to ensure the job is completed efficiently.
- Complete the required checks on equipment before, during and after shifts and complete documentation.
- Dispose of scrap and damaged materials.

**Do the Right Thing**
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and hazards.
- Will always properly use all the required PPE (hi-vis vest, safety glasses, earplugs, CSA-approved work boots, etc.).
- Take ownership of your work, ensuring precision and durability in every component built.
- Follow and adhere to training and procedures.

**Key Requirements**:

- Previous pallet building experience considered a strong asset.
- Stand, walk, bend and stretch for 8-10-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment.
- Lift, push, and pull 50-75 lbs repeatedly.
- Able to wear all required PPE (Steel toed boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, hi-vis vest, etc.).
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Use hands for grasping, handling, and precision work.
- Stay alert and focused while operating machinery.
- Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
