Draftsperson

Icon Energy Services Ltd. provides industry-leading engineering, inspection, and manufacturing services. Our team of professionals include our own in-house Engineers, Draftsman, Journeyman Welders and Machinists, Pressure Testing, NDT Inspection, and Finishing Technicians. Our services cover a wide variety of projects, and we are currently looking for a Drafter to join our team.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Capture as-built equipment drawings in shop or in the field.
- Generate accurate as-built 3D models using Solidworks.
- Generate 3D models of design concepts as directed for engineering department or from customers.
- Generate detailed drawing packages which include necessary fabrication dimensions, tolerances, weld details and notes.
- Create accurate bills of material and cut lists within detailed drawings and communicate these to procurement and fabrication team.
- Generate solid models for CAM functions in machining.
- Maintain project data such as issued drawings, dxf’s, photos, and cad files.
- Provide concept images or renderings as required for customer approval or user manuals.
- Facilitate customers by discussing and capturing their design objectives in person, on the phone, or electronically.

**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE**:

- High School Diploma; as well as post secondary certificate or diploma in technology or trades.

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail.
- Proven ability to accurately take measurements and make calculations.
- Familiarity, confidence, and adaptability to technology is a must.
- Ability to work and communicate with a team to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance designs.
- Experience with either 2D CAD systems such as AutoCAD or 3D modeling systems such as Solidworks or Inventor.
- Ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, and generate creative and practical solutions.
- Able to work with and protect confidentiality of sensitive information.
