Payroll Clerk

**The Role**:
School District No. 22 in Vernon is looking for an enthusiastic Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic and driven team This is a permanent, full-time position at 35 hours per week. This individual will be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of our region’s children. With that goal in mind, this individual will prepare and process payrolls and provide payroll support to our teacher staff.

**Education and Experience**:
Completion of Grade 12

Current Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification, or equivalent

One-year recent successful payroll experience

Typing 40wpm

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
Proven intermediate to advanced computer skills to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database, and communication software accurately and efficiently

Proven and exceptional organizational skills and attention to details

Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, with the public and fellow colleagues

Ability to problem solve and provide support for payroll related questions in a timely matter

Ability to maintain confidentiality
