General Handyman/woman

Longwood Building is looking for an enthusiastic Skilled Handyman to add to our growing team. We are looking for someone who has good knowledge of construction. Reporting the Construction Site Manager, the skilled handyman will be responsible to assist the Site Supervisor on our construction site

**Responsibilities**
- Inspecting residential properties to identify and repair deficiencies
- General building maintenance and repairs
- Painting
- Drywall repair
- Carpentry
- Clean debris on job site and inside the house and get ready for sub-trades to work;
- Interior/exterior touch-up works like placing insulation, drywall, taping painting touch ups;

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a handyman
- 2-5 years of experience in the industry required
- Well-organized and has excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with full renovations (framing, drywalling, taping/mudding, flooring, plumbing, appliance installation and painting)
- Understanding of construction trades, methods and building codes.
- Ability to read building specifications and blueprints
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Attention to detail
- Preferable Safety training: WHMIS, Working at height & Workers H&S Awareness in 4 steps
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and report back to the manager
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills
- Must possess a valid driver's license

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $28.00 per hour
