**Volunteer Job Title: Driver**

**Purpose**: To provide transportation to children in care of the Society, children receiving services from the Society, and/or parents of a child receiving services from the Society.

**Location**: Throughout Perth and Huron Counties, with the possibility of other jurisdictions. Drivers will be reimbursed at 55 cents/km.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Drive children and/or parents that require transportation from Point A to Point B as scheduled by the Children’s Aid Society
- Provide a safe and reliable mode of transportation
- Wait for children and/or parents while they attend necessary appointments

**Reports to**: The Volunteer Coordinator and/or the appropriate Family Services Worker

**Time Commitment**: Approximately three to 20+ hours per week, depending on desired commitment, availability, and location of drives

**Qualifications**: Ownership of a vehicle. Ability to drive a vehicle. Preferably, able to lift up to 50lbs. Pleasant manner, patient, flexible, and punctual.

**Required Documents**:

- Provide three personal references
- Valid G Driver’s License
- Driver’s Abstract
- Proof of insurance including $2,000,000 in vehicle liability insurance
- Child Protection Information Network Check
- Vulnerable Sectors Check

**Support & Training**:
1) Driver Handbook Training

2) Car Seat Safety Training

3) Medication Transportation Training

**Age Requirement**: 18 years of age

**Dress Code**: Casual

**This role will submit a monthly drive log and any applicable expenses.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $0.58 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
