We are looking to add a **Electrical Technician** to join our growing team as a **Product Support Technician (PST)**. The role of the PST at ComTech Energy is to collaborate with and provide technical expertise as required to all internal and external stakeholders. The PST is accountable for supporting all ComTech products and service contracts to ensure proper operation and customer satisfaction.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Support the selection and onboarding of Alternate Service Providers (ASPs)
- Create and update training manuals, video and documentation for ASPs
- Review and understand project plans, job requirements for equipment, materials, installation, and quality control, from a technical perspective.
- Travel within Canada & US to support commissioning and service as needed. 15-20% travel
- Support ComTech Project team from a technical perspective
- Ensure all health and safety policies are followed when you perform your work.
- Perform project commissioning and start-up, as required
- Provide ‘On call’ support for SWIFT US and Canada, as scheduled, and support site contact in addressing immediate issues and dispatching ASPs, if required
- Perform onsite repairs, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Experience & Qualifications**
- Post Secondary degree or trade license in related field
- 5+ years of industry related (CNG) experience in Construction
- Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and construction documents
- Able to professionally communicate both written and verbal
- Capacity to manage high-stress situations
- Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License and provide a recent clean Driver’s Abstract
- Previous experience in electrical trouble shooting (low voltage)
- Previous experience on reciprocating compressors an asset
- Previous experience on Hydraulic systems
- Previous experience with controls systems
- High mechanical aptitude and ability to follow O&M manuals, mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Self-starter and a team player
- Working knowledge with Excel and computer systems.
