We are looking for a Computer Hardware Technician. Reporting to the Manager - IT Technical Support, the computer hardware technician provides valuable aid to individuals and organizations that make use of a wide variety of software and hardware. Install and maintain that equipment in addition to networks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning computers and any of their peripherals. Keep existing computers and their peripherals in good working order
- Responsible for deploying, maintaining, and repairing IT products, such as computer work stations, printers, scanners
- Review and prioritize requests based on importance
- Process and attend to hardware repair request
- Perform preventative maintenance on computers and their peripherals
- Make recommendations to management on any necessary hardware upgrades to user computers
- Liaison with technology vendors to provide end user software and hardware support
- Liaison with hardware vendors to spec out hardware and hardware
- Installation & Configuration of PC Systems - documentation & installation of Hardware and software on companies PC systems. The Assembly and delivery of PC system to users
- Setup and deliver new PCs to the users with necessary Hardware/Software as outlined in the Hardware Technician Procedure guide
- Install software/Hardware upgrades on existing PC systems
- Document any changes or additions of PC system hardware/software in the hardware tracking system
- Maintain Inventory of Repairs
- Responsibilities include monitoring and recording hardware inventory levels, and submitting request for replenishment orders to management as needed
- Perform weekly inventory count of critical Items to ensure that we do not drop below established minimum inventory levels
- Submit request for replenishment order when needed
- Perform a complete inventory of all items in the hardware storage room and throw out any obsolete or un-repairable parts
- Provide support for user Hardware problems
- Arrange for temporary use of an alternate PC system or peripheral, in the case of a critical system going down
- Perform other tasks or jobs as required

**Qualifications**:

- Should be highly knowledgeable in troubleshooting software and hardware equipment
- Must be highly knowledgeable in a wide array of software programs
- Have sufficient knowledge on basic networking
- Should be knowledgeable on computer security issues
- Should have great communication and people skills
