**LaPrairie Crane** is one of Canada’s largest independent mobile-crane companies with fleet capabilities ranging from 5 - 600 tons, including all terrain, boom truck, carry deck, crawler, hydraulic truck, rough terrain, and tower cranes.

**Duties will include the following**:

- Following direction of Lead Journeyman Mechanic’s
- Inspecting heavy equipment for proper performance
- Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment
- Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts
- Repairing damaged equipment parts
- Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty and automotive vehicles
- Repairing and servicing machine attachments
- Performing major repair work when necessary
- Consulting with other Mechanics and Supervisor when needed
- Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management
- Actively participate in the compliance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System
- Performs other duties as required

**Desired skills and Experience**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Apprenticeship documentation, if applicable
- CVIP License, if applicable
- Previous maintenance experience
- Understanding of computer testing technologies
- Knowledge, of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipment
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work of the trade
- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions and to interpret technical manuals and specifications
- Skill in the use and care of a variety of hand and power tools and equipment of the trade
