**The Opportunity**

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a motivated **Rental Freight Driver** to join our team in **Kitchener, Ontario.** As the Rental Freight Driver, you will be responsible for completing local deliveries to Leavitt’s service, sales, and rental customers.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

As the Rental Freight Driver your key responsibilities will include:

- Receive inbound requests from the Freight Coordinator
- Handle documentation relating to equipment transport
- Load and unload equipment onto transport truck and trailer
- Transport equipment to and from various locations
- Instruct customer equipment operators on basic operation, as required
- Relay relevant customer feedback onto sales and operational contacts
- Complete rental check-ins and check-outs
- Fuel and park rental equipment
- Complete daily vehicle inspections
- Communicate with the Vehicle Fleet Coordinator regarding maintenance
- Ensure that all registrations, insurance, and CIV’s are up to date

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class DZ license
- Minimum of 5 years of driving experience
- Clean drivers abstract
- Experience operating heavy machinery is an asset
- Knowledge of a related industry preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Required availability: day shifts, Monday through Friday
