Comfort Inn Lakeshore & Comfort Inn Airport are looking for a Maintenance Person to work at both properties. Access to own vehicle to get to both properties required.

Performs general maintenance and cleaning/janitorial work to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained.

**DUTIES**:

- Responds to guest calls when on duty.
- Responds to front desk calls, assisting in checking rooms, luggage delivery and guest special request.
- Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of all public and staff areas of the hotel
- Ensuring parking lot is clean and garbage free. Changing garbage and smoking canisters frequently
- Reports any equipment malfunction, emergency situations or suspicious persons to the manager.
- Anticipates, identifies and corrects system breakdowns to achieve guest satisfaction.
- Communicates with General Manager and co-workers regarding product/ service deficiencies, equipment, safety problems, etc.
- Is fully prepared for fire alarm procedures and other safety requirements. To complete all fire safety reports (e.g. Fire extinguishers, Health & Safety, Equipment reports).
- Is familiar with the location of how to control the supply of water, electricity and gas in an emergency situation.
- Refurbishes furniture and fixtures with in the hotel such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paints and finishes furniture and fixtures, if needed.
- Performs general minor repairs to in house plumbing, electrical issues
- Performs routine maintenance on air handling units (PTAC).
- Performs room inspections as required by Supervisor.
- Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs in accordance to BRAND directives and instructions.
- Able to trouble shoot, follow and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
- Reports work completed daily to supervisor.
- Responsible for all grounds keeping including snow and ice removal, cutting the grass, weeding, Shad-fly removal
- Additional duties as assigned by General Manager.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Continuous standing and walking
- Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided
- Must be able to work under heavy pressure/stress during busy times

**HEALTH AND SAFETY**:

- Uses personal protective equipment as applicable.
- Follows WHMIS training.
- Knows and uses emergency procedure - fire, guest and employee security, etc.
- Reports potential problems and hazards.
