**About Banyan Capital Partners**
Banyan Capital Partners is growing and looking to add an **Analyst, Private Equity **to its Toronto-based investment team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a small group of senior PE investment professionals and participate in all aspects of the investment process: market research, due diligence, deal execution, and portfolio company management.
**What You Will Do**
- Evaluate private equity investment opportunities. This will include: in-depth research, performing financial analysis, preparing presentation materials, and making investment recommendations
- Build financial and valuation models, conduct due diligence, and assist with overall deal execution
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams to help execute strategy and follow-on acquisitions, monitor financial and operational performance, and assist in performing company valuations
**What You Bring**
- Undergraduate degree with a focus on business, finance, economics, accounting, or management consulting with a strong academic track record
- 1 to 3 years of related work experience; this may include private equity, investment banking, equity research, restructuring, consulting and/or transaction advisory / due diligence
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated financial analysis experience
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight timelines and on multiple projects
- Excellent communications skills and a demonstrated ability to present well-articulated ideas
- Self-motivated with the desire to work as part of an entrepreneurial team
