**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Pharmacy Student. **This position will float between all five of our Winnipeg stores.**
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Enter into the pharmacy data base and verify all data on the prescription (patient name and address; physician name and address; date of prescription; drug; directions; quantity; refills; physician signature).
- Prepare and package a drug for dispensing.
- Handle patient phone call and in-person inquiries (not requiring Pharmacist’s involvement).
- Maintain, arrange and order pharmacy supplies.
- Verify third-party coverage information and resolve coverage inquiries.
- May provide limited counseling and education for prescription and OTC products in accordance with clinical knowledge base under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Provide support to various expanded scope initiatives.
This position is primarily vacation relief and hours may vary (24-40 hours per week).
**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- You are a Pharmacy student, currently registered in a PharmD program;
- Flexible to work various shifts including evenings and weekends;
- Willing to travel between store locations, within the city of Winnipeg.
