**Sacred Heart School of Halifax has an immediate opening for a full-time Evening Custodian. This position is part of a dedicated team responsible for the cleaning and general custodial services at the School. This is an evening position with normal work hours of 4:00pm-12:00am. This position requires related experience, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Daily cleaning of all classrooms and offices;
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming all hallways, stairwells, and entrances;
- Setting up tables, chairs, and stages for events;
- Deep cleaning of classrooms, washrooms, change rooms, hallways, and stairwells weekly;
- Weekly, monthly and seasonal upkeep as required.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to complete physical labour;
- Reliability, initiative, attention to detail, customer service oriented, well-organized, and ability to work independently or as a team;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and visitors;
- Previous experience as a building cleaner is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
