**Overview**
Multimatic is a privately held, global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry. The company’s core competencies include the development and manufacture of complex mechanisms and body hardware, suspension systems and body structural components as well as the design, engineering and development of light weight composite automotive systems.
We are located in Markham, Ontario, and we are currently seeking a **Manager, IT Infrastructure**.
**Position Summary**
The Manager, IT Infrastructure is a seasoned technical leader and is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining Multimatic IT technical infrastructure that supports critical business needs. The person with excellent technical, project management and people development skills will ensure the team (direct & indirect of 30+ staff) can successfully deliver IT infrastructure projects as well as the required ongoing IT operations and end-user tools support.
**Responsibilities**:
In the role, you will possess and can demonstrate the following skills:
- Work with Business and IT stakeholders to identify infrastructure-related needs and initiatives, and designs and implements solutions.
- Supports the organization's IT infrastructure strategy and helps to develop long-term infrastructure plans and architectures taking into account the trends in the field and changing organizational needs.
- Manage the secure and reliable IT Operations and leads the regular testing/enhancements of BCP/DR capabilities
- Monitors service level agreements and key service delivery performance indicators, identify areas for performance improvement through infrastructure changes and leads the required changes
- Manage the end to end delivery of the Project’s technical components as well as migrations, upgrades, and maintenance projects
- Continuously improve the efficiency of technical support processes through staff training, automation, documentation, internal checklists, and best practices
- Ensure regular and timely communications with the global IT technical team
- Alignment and communication with other IT teams as it relates to projects involving IT infrastructure/cloud and/or client deployment
- Ensure server/computer equipment life cycle and the health of the infrastructure, security patching, software releases, etc. are maintained proactively
- Build relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology solutions and oversee service level agreement escalation and contract negotiations
- Perform periodic risk assessments as required with support from the Corporate Security team
- Level 3 on-call escalation point for incident management processes, business continuity and disaster recovery
- Ensure proper tools/utilities are utilized to provide incident reporting and metrics regarding issues and resolutions to service outages
- Ownership and supervision of global server/client projects
- Responsible for IT Infrastructure budgets and actual
- Support company directives with a positive disposition, driving a collaborative and inclusive forward-thinking culture that fosters new ideas, engagement, and optimism
- Provide leadership including an employee customer service mindset within the IT team, driving strong service leadership with an appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills, and competencies

- Demonstrate ownership and accountability for business decisions
- Support and adhere to policies, procedures and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems
- Maintain work knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field required or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years past managerial or team leader experience
- 5-10 years of experience within a VMWare virtual server environment
- 5-10 years of experience with Windows W7/W10, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Exchange 2013/2016, Microsoft Outlook 2013/2016, Microsoft Office 2013/2016, Office/Microsoft 365
- 5-10 years of experience with Active Directory/Patch Management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
- Working knowledge of WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi Technology
- Microsoft SQL / MySQL Server is a plus
- Backup Technology - Veeam On-Prem, Offsite
- Working knowledge of Windows scripting/batch language/logging/auditing
- Excellent English communications skills - both written and verbal
- Strong documentation skills
- Helpdesk ticketing systems experience - I.E. Jira
- MCSE or equivalent education/experience
