**The Role**:
We have an exciting role in our Ajax Plant for an experienced and dynamic Production Planner to join our Planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and preparing production schedules and ensuring that they are issued to each machine on a timely and efficient manner, keeping mind changeovers and line efficiencies. You will also issue daily grinding and roasting schedules on a timely basis, and maintain schedule tool parameters to ensure an optimized and feasible schedule is generated. As well, you will manage the continuous improvement process for the Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) Software.

**What you get to do**:

- Manage, coordinate and revise schedules as needed to accomplish benchmarks in the manufacturing process per customer demands/orders, mitigating orders and material requirement shortages.
- Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Lead daily production meeting to review plan and adherence results.
- Monitor schedule attainment and suggest improvements to the scheduling process.
- Keep scheduling software updated with changes in plant performance and equipment.
- Assist in the resolution of MRP and planning discrepancies.
- Review planned orders and material shortage report.
- Liaise with Demand Planning to monitor and maintain systems accuracy.
- Suggest changes to Min Order Quantities to reduce expired WIP.
- Support implementation of new Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) software.
- Suggest, implement and test improvements to scheduling parameters in Dynamics AX MRP.

**What you bring to the role**:

- Successful completion of a university degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Production Planner in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with warehouse and transport environments is a plus.
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning System (Dynamcis AX, SAP, and Oracle). Experience with Advanced Planning and Scheduling Software.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Detail understanding of how routes and formulas are used in the manufacturing process.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Material requirement Planning Process.
- Knowledge and Understanding of GMP.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Understand the importance to work well and contribute as a key member of a large cross-functional team.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
