Job Description **Screen Printer**
A busy screenprinting and embroidery shop is seeking a great person to learn a multifaceted position in the shop.
Previous knowledge with têxtile screenprinting preferred. Position entails hand screenprinting on variety of garments and other products. Duties include set up and print one colour to multicolour jobs, creating films, screen coating, burning screens, screen prep and screen cleaning, mixing inks, receiving orders and packing outgoing orders. You will be in charge of your own department and quality control is of utmost importance. Pride of work and neatness while working is mandatory.
- Very detail oriented and careful in handling all aspects of orders
- Positive personality
- Enjoys busy atmosphere and likes to work hard to meet deadlines when necessary
- Takes initiative
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically fit, job requires being on feet most of the day, lifting boxes and using hands for printing
- Enjoys learning
- Good memory
- Has positive references from previous employers
- Loves working with a team and customers
- Enjoys variety in a work day and can switch jobs throughout the day
Other skills that would augment the position but not necessary
- Graphic design using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, CorelDraw. Position could include some graphic design work doing layouts and proofing for clients.
- Creativity, many people who enjoy screenprinting have an art background, bring your passion to this job
Pay $22.00/hour to start and up depending on experience level
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay
Work Location: One location
