**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for animal care and are eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by restraining animals as needed.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as collecting samples and conducting routine tests.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff.
- Provide compassionate care to animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising them as required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of treatments administered.
- Assist with client communication by providing information about pet care and answering questions.

**Skills**
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required; laboratory experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Schedule and confirm appointments efficiently.
- Process payments, handle billing, and maintain accurate client records.
- Prepare, organize, and update patient files with medical histories and documents.
- Support veterinarians and technicians by coordinating patient flow and managing appointment times.
- Ensure the reception & treatment areas are tidy, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
