Hamilton, Canada Oakridge Landscape Contractors Full time

**We're Hiring**:Horticultural Crew Labourer.
- ** Location**: Hamilton.
- ** Pay**:$19.00- $23.00 per hour**, depending on experience.
- Benefits after completing probation.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure all the necessary equipment is located and properly stored or restrained within the trailer before leaving each site.
- Perform physical outdoor work on a horticultural crew, supporting tasks across landscape construction, residential, and groundskeeping projects.
- Operate various landscaping equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers, to maintain a neat and tidy appearance of properties.
- Assist with the removal of weeds, grass clippings, and litter from planting areas, driveways, parking areas, and hard surfaces.
- Trim and shape shrubs and trees as needed.
- Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained, fueled, and properly stored at the end of each workday.
- Work closely with the Foreperson and other crew members to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
- Communicate effectively with the Foreperson and other crew members regarding daily tasks, schedules, and site-specific concerns.
- Assist in preparing job sites for landscaping work, including laying mulch, soil, and other materials.
- Help with maintenance of job site cleanliness, including cleaning up after each task and making sure all equipment is ready for the next day.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in landscaping or horticultural work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license G license is preferred.
- Knowledge of plant species, soil types, and horticultural practices.
- Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions.
