**Reports to**: Duty Manager

**Role Status**: Full time/ Part time -Seasonal -Hourly. This position runs from mid May to the end of October.

**Scope of the job**:
As a Summer Lift Operator, you are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Peak Chairlift; including start up and shut down procedures, greeting guests, and providing physical assistance when required. With direct supervision from the Duty Manager, the Summer Lift Operator is expected to deliver a safe and exceptional experience for all mountain guests.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring safe and efficient operational procedures of lifts including start up and shut down procedures
- Ensuring highest level of safety with respect to the load/unload area in that it is uncluttered and litter-free
- Greeting guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Providing physical assistance to guests when required
- Establishing and maintaining all operational aspects of the assigned lift station; including line control, tools and signs
- Maintaining housekeeping standards including load/unload areas and lift huts
- Maintaining a high quality, friendly and cooperative relationship with mountain staff
- Performing daily mountain clean up tasks including garbage picking, pathway sweeping and washroom maintenance
- Maintaining a clean work environment, including cleaning/disinfecting of chairlift chairs, and other lift operation facilities (proper PPE will be provided).
- Perfroming all other duties assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

This position reports directly to the Mountain Operationd Duty Manager with no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide excellent guest service
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, 10 hour shifts in all weather conditions
- On-the-job training provided

Working Conditions
Summer Lift Operators perform most of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions. Hours of operation are weather dependent. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include rotation of shifts, day/evening shifts, and weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time and physical assistance of guests loading the chairlift.
