| About the role

The Enterprise Project Management Office plays an integral role within Payments Canada. As our Project Manager, you will be a key member of a small team of dedicated project managers working to successfully manage a portfolio of Payments Canada projects covering a variety of initiatives including business transformation and process improvement.
Reporting to the EPMO Delivery Manager, the Project Manager will work to manage the projects through the execution of all stages of the project lifecycle, following a PMI-based Payments Canada project management methodology.

This is a temporary position for a 12 Month Term.

| What you’ll do

**Responsibilities of the Project Manager include**:

- Create clear and attainable project plans and schedules, build project requirements, and manage project costs, time, scope, and quality;
- Manage projects to allotted timelines, resource requirements, budget, quality, and benefit expectations;
- Lead medium-to-large size project teams composed of multi-disciplinary staff and contractor(s);
- Ensure Payments Canada Delivery Methodology is used throughout the entire project life cycle to meet project objectives;
- Within the context of the assigned project, responsible for building and sustaining the day-to
- day relationships and communications (including project briefings) with stakeholders at various levels of the organization, including executive level, as well as other internal and external resources;
- Sustain and manage the relationship with the Project/Program Sponsor throughout the duration of the project by providing sound advice, counsel and support;
- Provide thought leadership, motivation, coaching, mentoring and professional development for project teams in order to obtain a high level of cooperation and contribution from all project members.

|Minimum Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related field;
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive and diverse project management experience;
- Experience managing business, security, and/or technical transformation projects;
- Experience in implementing projects using waterfall, Agile, and hybrid Methodologies;
- Experience in building and sustaining day-to-day relationships and communications with internal and external partners and resources;
- Experience preparing and delivering project updates to senior leadership;
- Valid criminal records check or eligibility to obtain.

|Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the payments or financial sector is considered an asset;
- PMP designation from the Project Management Institute/Program (PMI/PMP) is considered an asset;
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

| Salary Range
- Based on qualifications and experience: $78,013 and $97,539.
